This collection is a small group of photographs of artists by various photographers. Some folders contain multiple images. The group was apparently a gift to the library from James Porter. All rights are retained by the photographers. The Ingalls Library keeps clipping files on many of the artists listed. This is indicated by a "see also library clipping file" note in the file name.

Scope and Contents note This artificial collection contains photographs received by the archives from various sources but not as a discreet collection. It has been arranged into four groups: Cleveland Museum of Art related views and portraits (named individuals and groups) and Non-CMA views and portraits. The primary arrangement is by the space or place if it is identified, such as the Fine Arts Garden, Armor Court, or gallery number.
